The 2009 adidas Jr. National was action packed
Zaneshia Dickerson - Team St. louis
Marissa Knox - Glory
Zaneshia Dickerson is a 5'7 guard that can make about anything happen on the court. Dickerson could rebound, pass, and score for the Triple Threat. Dickerson will definitely be one of those players that would be buzzing around the Nation for the 2014 Class. Dickerson's Triple Threat team mate Reje Ferrar, also is class 2014 player with a small frame she can make it happen all over the floor, whether dribble, drive or pull up the three. There is no doubt, she can handle her own on the court. Jasmine Cincore -Glory
Jasmine Cincore and Marissa Knox both of Team Tennessee Glory. Cincore and Knox are 2 players of the 2014 Class that are well beyond their class. Knox is a penetrator and a scorer. She also can distribute the rock like a true point guard should. Cincore is just unbelievable with the ball. She Attacks, Dribbles, Stop and Pop. With her 5'8 frame, at an early age she is growing into a super star of the Hardwood. DFW represented with after loosing their first game to the Triple Threat. In the remaining games in the tournament they got great effort from Tiara Warren and Sadie Fleschner. Fleschner a big body that controlled the paint. The 6'1 had moves like a guard. Warren was all over the court with her fast style play. Over all the talent was incredible for the entire event with teams from Houston, Dallas, Mississippi, Tennessee representing enormous.

A friendly Game of Basketball between two In-town Rivals, But on the Road they Represent Memphis
This past weekend, The 3rd Annual Mid-South HoopMasters took place at Memphis Catholic High School. Teams from Tennessee, Arkansas, Missouri and Mississippi were in attendance. The teams took the court for some great games. It narrowed down to the final four of The Memphis Elite vs. The Lady Bobcats 601 and the Lady Bobcats Platinum matched up with the Memphis Glory. When it came down to the Championship it was the Memphis Elite and Memphis Lady Bobcats. It was an exciting game. For once the adults put aside their differences and let the girls have fun and do what they do. When the day was done The Lady Bobcats was crowned Champions and the coaches from each team shook hands and the girls hugged and laughed with each other and took a unity picture, showing the strength of talent that the countries top college coaches need to prepare for this Summer. Memphis is a hot bed for talent. There might not be many post players that come out of the city, but guards and shooters are overwhelmed in the Bluff City. These are two teams that everyone around town could not think that could get together and play some good basketball. After all, these are the two teams that started playing exposure basketball after the Mid-South Lady Tigers had disbanded and the rest is history. The Lady Bobcats has over 20 young ladies to acquire college scholarships and the Memphis Elite has done a great job in accomplishing that same goal. The difference is one wear NIKE and one wear adidas. They even wear the same color uniform. The one thing that is important, they will keep our airport busy this high school season with college coaches coming to see each of their girls high school teams play, because of what they saw in the past Summer. This is why you see coaches in the gym with Rod Echols, Eric Daniels, Andre Pruitt, and Fred Echols. Their Universities have built relationships with these top programs. When you have coaches like Fred Echols, Rod Echols, Greg James and Eric Daniels, 4 coaches from different organizations take their time and dedicate the Spring and Summer, year after year to help young ladies get into school to further their lives. Parents and other passer byer's or let's be real for a second and use the word "HATERS" always want to criticize what these young men are doing for kids in the area. Most don't even invest in their own kids future. Every program isn't going to be what the parent want it to be, but the program is what it need to be for their child. the program is not for the parent. These guys are getting kids into college. That is the result. and that is what every parent should want for their child and that is RESULTS. After all these young men, not only from these 2 programs, but now others take time off from their jobs and time off from their families each year. Most coaches don't even receive a thank you at the end of the summer. Let's not even start with money. The worst I've ever seen was when a coach have to take a kid home and 5 cars are in the driveway and the grill is smoking and family members are just having a ball and I guest they forgot, they have a child at basketball practice or they will probably say gas is too high. In the past I've even heard a parent over speaker phone, " Girl, I don't have any gas. Gas too high to come pick you up. Tell your coach to drop you off." Now that's funny, I guess they didn't realize that the coach has to pay the same price as the parent do for gas. I don't think coaches get a gas stimulus. If so lighten me in on it. Nothing is for free these days. "Hello!!!" it's a recession. you have to invest in your child's future. those long trips cost someone. Sponsors are cutting back. One adidas program out of state use to get $10,000.00 every year from their sponsor. This year they only gave $500.00 when a tournament entry fee is $750.00 or even $850.00. So who has to foot the bill? I hope you don't think the coach. If I had to pay $500.00 for my child to get a $140,000.00 scholarship when she gets in the 10th or 11th grade I would be crazy not to. My child's future is an investment. Parents we are getting older by the day. Our kids are going to have to take care of us as we did for them. The reality to that, is we will buy 10 pair of Jordan's at $150.00 a pair in a year. You do the math, ($1500.00). You don't get nothing out of wearing them, but cool points. WAKE UP MEMPHIS!!! So after every practice tell your coach THANKS. A hug will make their day, no matter what team you play for. Parents appreciate your coach for what they do for your basketball star. Pitch in on you clubs fundraiser. It's for your child's future. Don't look down on your coach for doing a road block. If you don't have the money, grab a bucket.

Deep South is Rising to the Top in Talent
The Lady Bobcats Mississippi Program, under the leadership of Coach Charles Credit of Natchez, Mississippi has put together a good solid program, to represent Adidas Mid-South in 2009. The Program has great visions for the future as well. Regional Director Roderick Echols had a vision on the kids from the Mississippi, because this is one of the most under the radar areas for talent in Girls Basketball. Everyone has forgotten this is the home of the great Juanita Ward and small town hero April Sykes, Jackson Super Star LaSondra Barrett. Now there are some newcomers that are rising to the top. Kierra Jordan is one of the most promenade 8th graders in Jackson the 6'1 post player has Beast written all over her. Kierra dominates the boards and is a scoring machine. College coaches got a sneak preview of her in Atlanta during the Spring viewing period. Kierra has a nice drop step move that crushes the opponent every time. Kierra attended Hardy Middle School Where she ruled. Jade Hooper is a feisty little 5'2 point guard that make big plays on the floor. With a name like Hooper what could you expect. Jade is quick on her feet and will attack the basket in a heartbeat. Her first step is amazing and she can shoot. Jade is a Sophomore at Jim Hill High School in Jackson. Courtney Epting can make it rain from anywhere on the hardwood. She runs the floor incredibly fast and never gets tired. she rebounds and block shots as well. Courtney is just a freshman at Lanier High school home of NBA Phenom Monte' Ellis. Courtney is a special kind of ball player that loves the game and is a sponge to the game. Kierra Mitchell of Jim Hill is living up to becoming one of the best players in her home town. Mitchell is an all out hustler and can make play after play. Mitchell is a team player and plays her roll. She rebounds, passes, make shots, plays good defense. Every good team needs a great roll player and for some college program, Kierra Mitchell is the young lady for the job. To Anchor the Deep South Summit is no other than Shante Poole and newcomer Alisa Ross. They both will leave you tongue tied and speechless after one event. College Coaches will go bizarre just to see two of the best young guards out of Mississippi. There are no words to describe them just buy a ticket and get some popcorn and a cold soda.

The Lady Bobcats Win Greater Midwest Classic in St. Louis
The Lady Bobcats pulled off a couple of nail biters this past weekend to bring home the 2009 Greater Midwest Classic Trophy. There was an outstanding defensive performance by Chertavia Rutherford with her lockdown effort. Jasmine Cofield ruled the boards and made key buckets in the paint. In the Lady Bobcats road to the Championship, they had to match up with some high caliber talent in teams such as; Team St. Louis, St. Charles Heat, Chicago Fire and the Missouri Rockets. The Rockets would lose their first contest and would work their way back around to the winners bracket in this event. Shae Nelson and Jasmine Robinson would do their usual and open up the games early on in the tournament. They would have to rely on the lockdown defense of Rutherford following an ankle sprain in game three of Brandi James, who is the starting point guard for the Bobcats. Monique McConnell and Erica Ousley would have to turn up their game to get the Lady Bobcats through the semi-finals and the championship. Jenisha Jackson and Kandi Granger would also be productive in the Semi-final battle to win a 45-43 game over the Chicago Fire. The Lady Bobcats would go on Sunday Evening to defeat the Lady Rockets of Washington, Missouri in a well of a championship game 47-44.

Aneesha Daniels is a 6-0; she has a motor that doesn’t quit. The intensity she brings to the game is what takes her beyond her opponents. She runs the floor extremely well and at her height she has the ability to get her shot off against anyone because of how hard she goes. Throughout the course of the game she wears down her opponents and then really turns up the intensity to put points on the board.
Chante Poole (Bobcats 601)
2012 Herhoops Report Chelsee Black is the talk of Alabama
Jordan Henry is extremely skilled at 6-1
Asia Dozier has good ball handling skills for a 5-11 shooting guard. With no fear to take the big shot she has incredible range. What makes her really special is her ability to get others on her involved from the shooting guard position.
